The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has granted an injunction to Boehringer Ingelheim against the respondents, MSN laboratories and Dr. Reddy Laboratories and the respondents have been restrained from infringing the patent rights of Boehringer Ingelheim under Indian Patent No. 268846.

MSN laboratories and Dr. Reddy Laboratories are restrained from launching, making, using, offering for sale, selling, importing and/or exporting the medicinal product Empagliflozin in any form whatsoever, including Empagliflozin API, the medicinal product “Empagliflozin Tablet” and/or “Empagliflozin + Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets” or any other product covered by the subject patent.
